Hotel Arts Group
Hotel Arts is the brainchild of a team of local investors. The city block that housed the former Holiday Inn Calgary Downtown was re-branded the Hotel Arts in July 2005, with a view of transforming the hotel into Calgary’s first designer boutique-style hotel.
One year later, Hotel Arts successfully completed an impressive renovation: the remodeling of 185 guestrooms, two new full-service restaurants—the Raw Bar and Saint Germain—and revamped event space. Beyond the physical, the management team helped launch a new vision and corporate culture for Hotel Arts that celebrates innovation, growth, empowerment and attention-to-detail.

Phase Two of the planned renovations commenced in May 2007. In 2008 and 2009, Hotel Arts opened a new 9,500 sq ft ballroom and the Hotel Arts Galleria complete with a new, 220-car underground parking garage. Also completed was a three-story office/retail complex wrapping around the west and south portion of the property. Starbucks, Hedkandi Salon, Taste Restaurant, Anytime Fitness, The Hot Yoga Lounge and several fashion retailers which add vitality to the main floor of the Hotel Arts Galleria.
Kensington Riverside Inn
Acquired in August 2007, the property was transformed from a 19-room bed & breakfast into Calgary’s premier luxury inn with upgrades to the guestrooms and lobby. Chef’s Table, a new intimate restaurant and lounge, boasts five-course tasting menus and eclectic wine selections, as well as an impressive contemporary art collection that evokes an upscale and refined aesthetic.
